I'm curious about Stephanie's info on background search and background check? What is that all about? Can I use it to trace my birth parents? How about a father that owes child support? Can I find out about the guy that wants to date me and take me to secluded romantic places? Like a website said that in the USA, criminal records are considered public information? Can I do a USA background public record search on anyone without getting their permission first. I don't want to tell every guy I date that I'm going to do a background search on him. That will just scare him away before we get to know each other. But, before I get to know him, that is exactly when I need to know if he is safe to date. Like that website said a law requires that internet dating sites have to tell me if they did a background search on their members. Really?
